There's no Tableau Server 2026.1, and here's the confusing reason why.
- Tableau Server no longer releases with every version; it now updates every other release.
- The only Tableau Server update in 2026 will be 2026.2, which will also include everything from 2026.1.
- The pattern continues into 2027 with releases 2027.1 and 2027.3.
- Tableau Cloud still receives all releases, including 2026.2, so the alternating cadence only affects Server.
If you’re wondering why there’s no Tableau Server release for 2026.1 - don’t panic. Server has moved to an alternating release cadence.
