0:29Tableau Pulse Enhanced QA correlation insights.

0:32So this is the capability that essentially looks for correlations in your data and they're enhancing it, essentially improving the way it works.

0:40Unlock the hidden drivers behind your metrics and tablet pulse using relationships specified by the analyst.

0:46So the analyst can't use

0:48their ability to build data sets and these relationships can then be used by this insight engine to essentially build better quality insight.

0:59meaningful correlations insights between metrics, even if they have different data sources, so essentially pointing metrics to each other.

1:06It reports the strength and direction of the relationship, explains the significance and sites to supporting visualization

1:18So this is kind of nice.

1:19I think you really have to have a lot of metrics set up for this to work and I'm sure there's definitely work to be done behind the scenes.

1:26Tableau Pulse Manage Metric Alert.

1:29So uh Tableau Pulse Manage Metric Alerts, you can have alerts in Tableau Pulse.

1:33We all know that.

1:34Focus tableau pulse alerts by managing metric notifications.

1:37You can now toggle alerts on or off for specific metrics to tune your notifications to your current priorities.

1:43That's kind of nice.

1:44So everything used to come to you in one big notification splurge.

1:48This allows you to say hide this one or share that one, which just gives you a little bit of a capability to focus.

1:53And I think this carries through on Tableau Mobile as well.

1:56So this is again really nice.

1:58Tableau pulse custom goal and threshold name.

2:01So you can set custom goals really nicely when you set the targets.

2:05Now you can give them custom names.

2:06So you can say here on track

2:09I have to say, I was a skeptic of Tableau Pulse.

2:13You know, this was the first thing that Salesforce really sort of pushed that was new in the Tableau ecosystem.

2:18And I actually regret being, I think

2:21as skeptical as I was because the more that I've used Tableau Pulse, the more that I see it.

2:26I actually think Tableau Pulse should account for 60 to 80% of what people need from Tableau.

2:33just a simple ability to track one metric, set it up, and they're scalable, they're filtrable, they're drill-downable.

2:39It's purely what people need and they're much much easier to use and define in a semantic model

2:46Um you can get the businesses to align on how these should be calculated and they're much much easier to maintain as well.

2:52So compared to dashboarding Tableau Pulse just feels like a breath of fresh air.

2:56And again, if it if it leads for better UX like this

2:59and better precision like this, I think people can handle the insight component and these can become atomic assets that can live inside of your ecosystem and are probably much easier for something like an LLM to pursue

3:11compared to something like a dashboard which has so many moving parts and implied relationships that you can't easily infirm.

3:17So yeah.

3:18I kind of maybe a little monologue there about how uh I regret being skeptical of the Tableau pulse, but I think is one of the best parts of Tableau today.

3:25Alright, Tableau Pulse enhanced Q<unk>A custom queries from the homepage.

3:29So this is nice.

3:30The homepage of Tableau Pulse has this capability where you get an overview.

3:33Here you can do the custom query and answering

3:36right from the homepage and it looks like they've made a a modal window so you can actually just talk to your data here.

3:42So again this is a really nice touch.

3:44The interesting thing is there is a

3:46parity issue there's something called metrics in Tableau Next which it behaves exactly the same.

3:52It's like they've taken the same code base and they've put it like two versions behind and they've called that metrics

3:57That is essentially what metrics is.

4:00So I much prefer Tableau Pass.

4:01It's much fresher, much more up to the dial.

4:04And I wish, I just wish Tableau could push this front and center inside of Tableau Cloud.

4:08rather than having it as a separate site.

4:10I know there's a structural issue behind that, but nonetheless I think it's a really nice touch.
