Tableau | Data visualisation View data improvements in under a minute #Short
Tableau 22.1 finally gives the old View Data window the overhaul it badly needed.
- Tableau 22.1 replaces the old, cumbersome View Data interface with a cleaner, more flexible one
- The new View Data shows metadata about individual columns
- You can sort and reorder fields using arrows, plus jump to the start or end of the field list
- You can add specific fields to the view, and the chosen order is preserved when you export

Design exactly how you want to present the tabular data behind a visualisation within the View Data interface. Remove columns from the default view, change their order, sort them or add additional columns to provide deeper context. Additionally, you can download underlying data as a CSV file with all design changes applied to share with your team. Customising view data is available in Tableau Online, Tableau Server, and Tableau Desktop
