New product languages (English and Chinese) in Tableau Desktop 2019.2 and newer

0:04I'm going to show you the new support for

0:08traditional English and traditional Chinese

0:12in Tableau 2019.2.

0:14It's super simple to enable these options.

0:17If you go to the help menu and then the

0:19language settings, you'll see the options

0:21there.

0:21So I've actually got the English one

0:24enabled already.

0:26It's bizarre because I think we've always

0:28had English available and so this has

0:31pretty

0:31much been American English but it's nice to

0:34see the addition of UK English, the Queen's

0:37English as it were.

0:39And then you've also got support for

0:41traditional Chinese.

0:42I think two of these were already here in

0:452019.1.

0:46I don't understand Chinese so unfortunately

0:49I can't tell you which tea.

0:51But to change to any of these languages, in

0:53this example I changed to American, you

0:55just

0:55select the language, click OK and then when

0:58you open up the product again, the language

1:00takes effect.

1:02If you want to change that back, you just

1:04go back, you click the language of choice

1:06and that is your new default, close Tableau

1:09, open it again and that's it, you're done.
