0:00If you're going to Tableau Conference and you're remote, you're not going to actually be there in person, but you want to stay in tune with all the content.
0:07Check out what's going to be streamed live and also check out what's going to be in demand after the conference.
0:12In this video I'm going to show you how to find it all out and plan those sessions so you know what to watch and when.
0:17As ever, let's get started.
0:18Okay, so this took me a little bit of
0:20a time to figure out because there's no obvious sort of thing that says this.
0:23So I've kind of pieced this together using the information that's on the website and I'm hoping it pans out to be true because
0:29Um I've only s uh purely sort of plugged it up.
0:32So let's first start by figuring out how to go find the sessions that will definitely be available on Salesforce Plus.
0:37If we go ahead to the sessions tab here at the top, you can see me just clicking it there.
0:42It loads up this page and then a little sort of search area loads up here in the middle.
0:46Now this is a really nice experience actually
0:48On the left hand side you can see you've got filters.
0:50You can go ahead and of course search for your sessions.
0:53But if you go here to Mr.
0:55Session, there's this tick box where you can say available on Salesforce Plus.
1:00Now with that capability you'll see the list filters and you can see we go from if I untick that option uh let's just I remove that you go from 216 155 and 109
1:11And it goes right down to a much smaller group of sessions.
1:14So it looks like roughly a third of the sessions are recorded, which I think is pretty good.
1:18It's better than it has been in the past.
1:20It's not as good as it's been in like really old school conference, but I think if you're getting customers to talk, sometimes they don't like their content recorded.
1:27So it makes total sense.
1:28You have to be there to sort of get the value.
1:30I get that, that's why the conference ticket has a price
1:33Now, if we look at these uh 52, you can then go ahead and filter these by role or by product.
1:38So if you really want to know, look, what's going to be on Salesforce Plus from a product perspective?
1:42Well, you can go ahead and select Tableau from a product perspective, and then you can go to Topic and go tick all your favorite products.
1:50So Tableau Cloud, Tableau AI, Embedded Analytics.
1:53Yes, please, Tableau Prep, Tableau Public, Tableau Pulse, Tableau Server.
1:57There you go.
1:57I'm full stack Tableau.
1:59These are the sessions available.
2:00And of course, if you go through each day, these are pre-filtered.
2:03You can see the filters here across the top
2:05Which is kind of nice.
2:07It's really nice and simple.
2:08Now, these are all going to be available on Salesforce Plus, but what's not clear is what's going to be streamed live and what's going to be available on demand.
2:16And so to find that out, we have to go somewhere else.
2:20So what you can do, and I will call out one thing before we leave this page, it is possible to add to the schedule and go and hit this heart icon and build your schedule here
2:29What I found is that it always seems to want me.
2:32So for example, you see I'm actually logged in.
2:34You can see that I've got an attendee info tab there.
2:36If I go add to my schedule, it will say please register for our event.
2:41So
2:41Whenever I've clicked that, it wants me to go and buy a full conference ticket.
2:44I don't think it wants me to sort of use this session planner if I'm not attending in person.
2:48So this is why I say you need to go to Salesforce Plus.
2:51to be able to plan this.
2:52So we're gonna go ahead and do that.
2:54Let's go ahead to the uh homepage.
2:57You'll see that you get back to this landing page and to get to Salesforce Plus, to get to the event for this conference
3:02Just hit this register for Salesforce Plus button.
3:05Now I've already logged into Salesforce Plus.
3:07I've already got my account going on here.
3:09You can see it here on the top right.
3:10So because I'm already logged in, it just comes straight in and you can see that I'm already registered just here where I'm clicking on the left.
3:16And you can see it says add to my calendar.
3:18I've already done that now.
3:20Here there's a separate schedule picker.
3:22So you can get some information about, but if I hit schedule, you get a calendar of all the live streamed events
3:28As they're gonna happen and don't forget these are all Pacific times, so be super careful about this because you see at the moment I'm seeing times in BST.
3:37So it's showing me the time specific to my time zone.
3:40But if you look at the sessions, those are all going to be in Pacific time.
3:43So you've got to be super careful about like when you think the session is.
3:47This already caught me out
3:48And so I actually, you know, put put the conference time in for the wrong time.
3:52So 5.
3:5345 to 7.
3:5530 is going to be uh basically the main keynote and then 7.
3:5830 to 8.
3:59Um there'll be like a deep dive after that for 30 minutes.
4:02So I'm probably gonna stream from 5.
4:0345 to 8 p.
4:05m.
4:05Oh my word.
4:06Jeez, I'm gonna need to load myself up for that day.
4:10Wow
4:11So yes, this is basically going to be what's going on here now.
4:15In terms of the schedule
4:18If you like a session on the right hand side, if you look on the top here, you can go ahead and add it to your calendar, pops up this nice calendar banner.
4:24You can send your invite to Google, Outlook, whatever fills your boat.
4:28So I would do this so that you have it in your own calendar.
4:30The other thing is you can bookmark them so you can go ahead and bookmark the main sessions you're super keen on.
4:35So um yeah, when you bookmark them, the circle kind of goes complete.
4:40That's not super clear UI to anyone designing this page.
4:43So
4:43Let's just go ahead and uh mark a few.
4:46And then when we've done that, if we go back to my schedule, you'll see that those sessions are here.
4:52Nothing actually changed, but if I go to Wednesday, you see nothing's there, but Tuesday we still have content there.
4:56So as you build your schedule.
4:58This basically becomes your sort of list of things that you want to do.
5:01So go ahead and do this for the live streamed sessions.
5:04For all the other sessions that you want to do that aren't on here, if you go to this tab that says on demand, here you have these different streams.
5:12So you have highlights.
5:13Which are going to be summaries at Tableau doing anyway and think which is going to be cut out live from the conference.
5:17Essentially what Tableau do is on the Salesforce Plus stream
5:20They have these sort of what I would call transition pieces of content that happen after a keynote or before something.
5:26And those are essentially highlights, people sort of talking about the features.
5:29And
5:29You know, let's be honest, these are highly scripted, they've gone through them ahead of time.
5:32You have to do that, otherwise you're just gonna fluff if you do it in in real time live.
5:37But uh they're really good actually for summarizing
5:39The thing I will say about them is they're a bit of a hype fest, so they can be sort of very energetic and sort of you know high energy, and sometimes you can kind of feel like you're not getting what they're talking about.
5:49So
5:49If that's the case, don't worry, that's just the intention.

5:58Now, DataFam, um, I think these are pieces of content from uh the community.
6:03So
6:04These are pieces of content made by members of the community.
6:07So this is a whole entire playlist just for their content.
6:11So this is this is really where you're gonna come and see the sessions made where other people doing great things with Tableau
6:16So I think that's really fantastic.
6:17Um you've got the learning sessions.
6:19So these are I think are going to be sessions done by Salesforce or Tableau, but specifically training you on certain capabilities.
6:25So again, these are things you go into conference to do sessions on and they're really nice.
6:30They're really good ways of kind of getting into uh specific sort of elements of the of the product suite.
6:35So if you're new to to this, this is going to be a really great learning resource.
6:39And then all things AI is going to be basically, you know, Salesforce's big big push has been, you know, AI.
6:45So if you want to know how Einstein Copilot work, how Tableau Pulse works.
6:49uh what you know embedding capabilities are, uh LLMs in Tableau, like all of this stuff, all that detail is gonna be in this playlist.
6:56So I think it's pretty clear how to navigate this, but I didn't sort of I had to sort of piece this together.
7:01It wasn't really obvious to me.
7:03Um so you know it it's nice that this is this has happened.
7:06And as if there's an FAQ here that sort of tells you when things will be available and so on and so forth
7:11I tend to find the on-demand stuff turns up a day or two after the session.
7:15So we're really talking by the end of next week, everything will be here
7:18But other than that, that's that's how to sort of make the most of the conference remote and get everything uh set up.
7:24So I think this is pretty cool.
7:26Um I think I'm gonna be tuning into a lot of this as much as I can, of course.
7:29Um I've got I've got life to get on with and and work to get on with as well.
7:33So
7:33I'm not attending in person.
7:34I'll be doing over the remote.
7:36But my time zone benefits me.
7:38So you know when the day gets going here at conference, it's normally after work and I can start to relax a little bit.
7:43So that's what I'll be doing next week
